Special Math Course (Grades 4 to 6)
Enroll your intermediate school learner in this this Happy Homeschool special Math course. There will be twenty five to thirty sessions twice to thrice a week (depending on the course program) in the afternoons. Happy Homeschool special courses are held from 1PM onward.
Patterns, Functions, and Algebra This course focuses on making generalizations and using a variety of representations to illustrate patterns, relationships and phenomena such as rates of change. Learners will be taught to use algebraic symbols and expressions to represent and analyze mathematical situations.
Numbers and Number Sense This course aims to help the students demonstrate an understanding of concepts and show mastery of whole numbers, decimals, factions, ratio and proportion, percent and integers. Learner will also be taught the basic number theory and various strategies that can be used for computation and estimation in problem solving.
Data Analysis and Probability This course aims to hone the skills of the students in classifying, collecting and organizing data in a more systematized way using a variety of data displays. Throughout the course, learners will be taught about the basic concepts in data interpretation, statistics and probability.
Sessions are conducted virtually by Happy Homeschool teachers though there will be offline activities as well. Class size is up to fifteen students only.
Sessions will start the week of September 7 and will end in November 2020/first week of December 2020. Special courses will be offered every quarter.
